Together we need to collect the perceptions - people’s thoughts, ideas, issues, observations and opportunities. This can be done in many ways, but workshops are very effective. We need upwards of 250 quality perceptions.
Design the knowledge tree (think a big filing cabinet). This allows knowledge to cluster into wisdom, by placing it in context. Akumen do this - it takes skill and experience. Should you wish to be independent in the future, we can train you to do this.
Hanging the knowledge on the tree is like filing papers in a filing cabinet - it’s easy but put it in the wrong place and if you do, you won’t be able to find it. We offer a “Knowledge Hanging” service or you can do it yourself, after training. Consistency is the key when hanging knowledge.
Identify - this is where the fun starts. Clusters of related knowledge present where the corporate mind is thinking. There will be many surprises and some obvious clusters - the picture is easy to read.
Prioritising - cluster size suggest the prioritisation. Weighting perceptions can increase accuracy and align with the direction of the organisation. There is always a critical path - a preferred order in which to work.
Definition - this is the key to resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. The software does this in an objective way and reveals the truth, even if it’s unpalatable. The definition will inspire solutions and highlight related issues.

Generate solutions - there may be several ways of resolving the same problem or exploiting an opportunity. It’s essential to spend time thinking and planning before diving straight into the doing, which is more fun!
Evaluation of the proposed solutions usually concludes a project, unless your organisation adopts our tools and methodologies to develop continuous innovation culture
